100 Days of Weight Loss

Quite some time ago I had mentioned that I had started reading Linda Spangle's 100 Days of Weight Loss as part of a challenge on WW's Connect.

The woman who started it only did the first few days.  Although I had decided I would continue it on my own I quickly realized that it wasn't going to happen.

So, I picked up the mantle and started in on it on my own, posting daily on WW's Connect.

I've now posted multiple days worth which you can read if you're a WW on Connect.

Just search for me by typing in clg12225.

Today's post is Day 71.  This is my recap from the author plus my own personal viewpoint.

Today's Subject:

It's Too Hard!!!

Ah, the resolve of the New Year, or the upcoming wedding or reunion & how it inspires three little words "My diet starts tomorrow!!!".
In the throes of the possibility of negative consequences it's amazing just how motivated we can feel.
But a few days into it  & work gets hectic or a child gets sick & you're up all night with worry, you have yet another birthday party or other holiday to attend to & your motivation wanes.

Now your mantra becomes "It's too hard!!!".

Those are usually the tombstone moments for any lifestyle changes we had planned & aspired to.

But here's the thing, we CAN do hard things.

In fact, we all have done many hard things in this life.  I mean life is hard.  It can also be really great but it's hard too & sometimes for me it's about coming to terms with that.

For me its also about looking back with some level of admiration for the hard things you have done & seeing how they have shaped you into the amazing person you are today.

So I guess that begs the question- who will you be, what will you become after having the experience of preserving through your weight struggles?

Most definitely you'll be more than you were before.  These dynamic experiences in life are tough but we are tougher.

It is in the perseverance of our dreams that we are forged in the flames of everything necessary to make us capable of accomplishing our goals & dreams.

The assignment is to write "I can do hard things!" in your journal.

Make a list of the hard things you have done in your life so far & remind yourself that you are a strong person.

Renew the commitment to yourself of doing the hard work involved in this project.

Again tell yourself you can do hard things which includes staying on your diet.

This is based on the WW compatible book, 100 Days of Weight Loss by Linda Spangle RN.

There are tons of free downloads on the website www.weightlossjoy.com/
I purchased the ebook for only $1.99!

It's the best $1.99 I've ever spent.  Doing the work of this book is definitely helping to transform me in this weight loss journey.

Best wishes,

~Carrie
